Fall is by far my favorite time of year!! I think my kiddos are taking after me in their affection of the season. I was more than ready for a change in climate, foilage, and events after going through our share of valleys this past spring and summer, but fall is here and God is good. He answers prayers and keeps His promises and we have much to be thankful for around here!!

Finally, Branson
After cancelling our Branson trip twice this year, we were beginning to think that it was not in the cards for us to go, but we did finally make it and had a great time!! We needed these five days of just our little family more than ever!! We enjoyed sliver dollar city; which is always a great time; the waterpark at our hotel and a few other kid friendly attractions with a few shopping trips thrown in while Caleb napped in the car (Daddy sitting with him). It was refershing to get away from it all and reconnect as a family. I've had to spend more time away from them than ever before these past six months and loved having this much needed time together!!
First day of school
The kids started Mother's Day Out a couple of weeks ago and were very excited to be back with their friends once a week while mommy was very excited for the return of target mornings and kid-free grocery store visits !! They've grown so much over the summer and this time next year Kennedy will be starting big girl school which seems impossible. She seems like she should be like two and Caleb should be my newborn. Looking forward to the adventure that next year will bring, but enjoying this last year of having her home with us!!
Remembering Papaw Dave
We lost my grandfather and a great man a couple of weeks ago to an unexpected heart attack. He was seventy-four years young and no matter the age, your never really ready to say goodbye!! I know he is seeing Jesus face to face, reunited with family and friends and celebrating his new home for eternity, but I wish we would have had a little more time with him here on this earth. I'm so thankful for all the great memories I have of him. He was a huge part of my childhood. I spent every other weekend at his house for many years and even lived with him for a period in high school and summer after my freshman year of college as did many of my cousins and other family members. That's just the kind of man he was, taking everyone in that needed him. He was always taking care of someone up until the day he died, he was the rock and glue that held the family together and there will definitely be a void without him.

Bye Bye Summer
I realized that summer has come and gone without a single blog post!!! The Coyle Household has had a crazy and super busy summer taking care of GiGi; who is still recovering from her surgery and trying to get adjusted to her new normal. Taking several medications a day and not feeling so great a lot of times. With time, I do believe she will feel good again. Still knowing God is faithful and will carry us through this ordeal, but I would be lying to say that it has not been hard, frustrating, stressful, and exhausting. On a positive note, we sold our house two days after putting it on the market and moved into our new home the beginning of July. I'm excited about the new school zone, (Kennedy starts K next year), having more space, and living in a more conveinent location. We have spent the greater part of July and August unpacking, painting, and getting used to our new routine. This summer has not been all work and no play. We took Kenendy to the boardway play, Wizard of Oz back in June. To all who know her, this was her dream come true. She was memserized the entire show and it was so sweet to see her so excited!!! We have also enjoyed swimming and playing with friends and are looking forward to getting away next week for a family vacation.

Visit with Gigi
We went over to my mom, GiGi's house, last Monday to celebrate Mother's Day with her. GiGi had planned a suprise for Caleb for his upcoming birthday, a trip to the fire station!! GiGi was so excited to introduce him to the fire truck. He was not so sure about it, but really liked it when they turned on the lights. We had a lot of fun planting flowers, making crafts, and baking cookies with GiGi. This Mother's Day time with her was extra special considering the rollercoaster of events over the past six weeks!! We love her so much and continue to feel God drawing us closer as a family and appreciating each and every moment!!
