Disney Reveal
Dave and I talked for months about how we wanted to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary coming up this July. We wanted to take a special trip, but really didn't want to leave the kids for more than a few days at this stage in our lives. We finally decided to go to Disney World and all celebrate as a family!!! We debated how, if, and when to share this news with the kids. We wanted to surprise them and settled on telling them a few weeks out from our departure. Dave researched, like he does everything :), and found a cute idea of placing a package with Disney goodies on the front porch for them to open, revealing the surprise. Their reaction was so joyful that it brought Dave and I to tears, nothing like seeing your babies so excited!!! It was pandemonium when it finally registered with them where we were going and I don't know who is more excited, me or them :)
Easter Weekend
What a fun and busy weekend we had celebrating the death and resurrection of our Saviour!!! We started the weekend off with Good Friday Service at FBC and continue to see Kennedy grow in her understanding of Jesus and what he did for us that day on the cross. She learned John 3:16 a few weeks ago and has been reciting it for us spontaneously :) She even recognized it on the screen at church on Good Friday and starting saying it for us :) Makes a mommy so proud!!! Nothing better than to see my baby learning about the Lord!!! Saturday morning Kennedy went on special date with her Peeps to MiMi's Cafe and Disney on Ice, she loved it and could not stop talking about all the princesses and this made me so excited to share with her where we are going in a few short weeks, but that's a post of it's own. We then had our 1st MM neighborhood egg hunt and finished off the night with Saturday night service at church, which was an amazing service on stepping through the door of hope in Jesus, without Him we are nothing and a reminder of how much we need Him in every facet of our lives. I'm so thankful for the amazing teaching we receive each week and this week was no different!
Camille's Back
Kennedy and Camille met when they were in the womb in a water aerobics class for preggo mommies to be!! They were great friends from the start and K was very sad when Camille moved away when they were a little over two years old, but they are back in Arkansas and we are all so very happy!!! Welcome back to Hog Country and the south, WPS!!!
