Fun at the Rivermarket

We took the kids down to the rivermarket this morning and had a blast. If you haven't taken your kiddos to the new riverfront park, it is a must do!! It is an awesome park with rock climbing, tunnels, a huge slide and a water feature to play in. Kennedy loved it, so did Mommy and Daddy! The rock climbing is a little scary for a Mommy of a toddler, but she navigated it like a pro. We also got some breakfast, walked the pedestrian bridge, and took a trolley ride. It was a great morning!!

Kennedy's Dance Recital

Kennedy had her dance recital Saturday night. It was the funniest and cutest thing I have yet witnessed as a parent!! Her class danced to a song called playmates, I think it is from Strawberry Shortcake, anyway it was adorable. The class ranged from ages 22 months to 4 years old. This is a great age to perform, ha,ha!! Kennedy came out and looked a little shocked at first but then really got into it. Every so often the stage props would distract her, but she would come back to dancing after checking them out. :) At the end when the audience started to clap she stopped, smiled big, and took it all in, she loved the applause!! It made the twice a week practices all worth while!! It made me want to sign her up for an entire year, but after much discussion we decided to wait until next year when she is old enough to reason with about getting ready for practice. We had a couple of tantrums getting ready for practice each week, so we will do the dance camp next summer again and go from there!! Overall, it was a great experience for her and I'm so glad we did it!! Kennedy looking a little nervous before the show!!

Waiting on the big performance.

Fun at the Wonder Place

Caleb's 2 Month Stats

Caleb turned two months old on Wednesday.

Weight 11.9 lbs. 45%

Height 22 inches 30%

He seems huge to us compared to Kennedy, she was always in the 0-10% range for everthing. It is nice not having to worry so much about a little baby!!

Tiny Dancer

Kennedy is doing a dance camp for the month of July. It is a trial to see if she would like it enough to take for an entire semester. So far she loves it!! I should have known, since Dancing with the Stars is her favorite show. She makes her Daddy and I dance with her to each episode. She has a small recital at the end of the camp. We can't wait to see what all she is learning, parents are not allowed to watch the practices, so it should be a great suprise!

Fun on the 4th

We had a wonderful 4th of July holiday!! We picked up Kennedy & Caleb's Aunt Brittany on Wednesday to spend the holiday weekend with us. Having a teenager around is great fun, help for mommy and a playmate for the kiddos. Kennedy adores her! We spent Thursday at storytime, dance, the mall, and Chuck E Cheese!! A busy day, we finished off the night making a cake for our neighborhood 4th celebration and decorating the kids wagon for the OC parade!! While making our cake Kennedy asked whose birthday it was and I told her America. She said, "Whose America," oh the funny things kids say!!
The 4th started with the parade, which the wagon float won 1st in, having a baby in the float won the judges over!! Next, we went to the pool for a few hours until it started raining, then home for naps, and fireworks that night at the Bryant Family Fest. Kennedy was overwhelmed by the loudness of the fireworks, so we made an early exit! It was a fun day, Happy Birthday America!!
